Guatemala MTC

comó está ! This week was very interesting.  On Wednesday we went out proselytizing. We took a bus across town which was crazy and an adventure, we where so squished.  When we got to the area we knocked doors and talked to people on the streets it was so much fun even though my Spanish was not all that great but we had a Latino companion for the proselytizing part.  Most of them were catholic and a few people didn’t answer their door, but I guess I need to get used to that .  We  just shared a short message with most of them but we invited a couple to come to church and asked if we could come back and they said yes.  The only thing is we don’t really get to go back, but they will find other missionaries to go teach them.  It was crazy one lady we started to talk to on the street, she was trying to tell us how our church was not the right one. And when we asked her why, she could not tell us why and started to walk away but Hermana Caal just followed her and kept talking. She finally started to listen and we walked her home.  It was an amazing experience to see her feel something about the message. She wanted us to come back so I guess that is a good sign.  We did get to go to the temple again and do a session.  Everyday we practice teaching and its good practice. I’m learning so much.  My companion had a tooth ach so we took an adventure to the dentist
across town and she had to get a root canal. Good thing that it is not me, it was  no fun.  I have a latina in my room Hermana Romero. She is short and so funny. We always have crazy nights with her like really crazy.  But it is fun trying to understand everything she says cuz she doesn’t know 1 word in English. The other night she was not feeling really good and she put lotion in my hand. And I didn’t get what she wanted me to do. 
She started rubbing her belly and I guess she wanted me to rub it on her since, she was not feeling very good todes modes really weird but.  The Latinas only are for  3 weeks so they all leave on Monday and then Tuesday we will get all knew Latinas and Latinos so that is exciting.  Yesterday was such a good day.  In the MTC here they have people staying here from Honduras and it is fun teaching and practicing Spanish with them. Its like a hotel attached to the MTC. I guess it is for the families that go to the temple since it’s next door. Its fun to see and talk to the little kids that are staying here. It makes me miss all the little kids I babysit. Sorry,  i have to go love ya!

Guatemala MTC

hola well its been a few days here in guatemala things here are a
 little bit different. The food is good but sometimes you get
 something that is not that that great and here it is very rude to
 throw your food in the garbage, and you have to eat everything. we
 dont get as much time to write e mails so ill have to write a letter
 sometime soon the rules here are very strict and we can not ba a
 minute late to anything usually its 5 min early because the new girls
 in my district are very good and on time to everything. I can
 understand alot more spanish it will come slow but its easier when
 everyone speaks it and your forced to speak it. We still have
 investigaters and the study part is all the same but when we teach are
 investigator its usually in the hall so its loud and hard to teach.
 The temple is a great view from our room and we will be going sometime
 next week. We have to latinos in our bedroom and dont speak a work a
 elish so usually it is a guessing game trying to figure out what they
 are talking about but they are all funny and very pretty. I dont know
 if you u want to worry about sending packages it will get here but it
 takes a couple weeks and if you put jesus pictures or catholic
 pictures they usually wont open the package i dont know though. Ill
 send a letter today but it will take about 15 days. I have not gotten
 any e mails from you. hope everything is good and write letters cuz
 they only send them once a week to us. Ask me questions cuz i dont
 really know what to say ha but spanish is coming its fun when. I know
 one kid here that played soccer or something with with him his last
 name is haertel i recognized the last name for some reason and asked
 him but he wanted me to say hi to arron.

Guatemala MTC

We made it to guatemala really late and took a bus to the mtc and its
great. we had pizza really late and then something weird for
breakfast, for lunch we had grilled chicken and somthing weird but it
was good the food here is better.  i got a new companion that is from
vernal but thats about all know about her so far since its only been a
few hours.  mom my guatemala address is the same one that you have or
that i wrote down. It is very different here than the provo mtc there
are not that many people maby like 100 or even less.
Andrew stan is coming home from alaska will you  call him or if you
see him geive him my address to guatemala cuz he asked for it and i
was not sure what is was.

Provo MTC

Another week has past and im so excited for Tuesday to come.  My flight leaves around 8am and we fly to Texas then we have about a 4 hour lay over and then head to Guatemala.  I will probably call in the morning at like 7 I’m not sure how it works. Ii do have a calling card though so if I don’t call maybe I will when i get to Texas around noon and then leave to Guatemala around 5 so i will just have to keep on trying if you don’t answer.  If there is enough time you could send me a plain brown shirt Natalie will have it if she can’t find one, just buy one at down east, also the blue green skirt I got at old navy. It’s in a brown box, it was one of the last boxes Natalie took home with her. If not, it is ok. You will just need to send it quick cuz Ii leave on Tuesday.

 This week was good still trying to teach my investigators in Spanish but my companion speaks for me.  Shantelle, the investigators are not real they are the teachers that speak in Spanish and teach us everyday so it is hard for me cuz i picture them as my teacher not a real investigator but its fun.  I have only seen Aimee Hodson like once or twice but we are in different zones and or schedules are completely different.  Yesterday was my best meal yet a had a jalapeño cheeseburger, that surprisingly was delicious, and for dinner I had some hot wings.  I’m getting used to the food, but I guess I won’t complain cuz I don’t know what i will be eating in the Guatemala MTC.  Not much has happened, today is Thursday my p-day and my companion decided to be funny and put a snake in my bed. I’m on the top bunk so I climbed up to write letters today and it was under my sheet. Ha I freaked out and jumped down.  Then an hour later she put a fake beetle by my head it took awhile before I saw it when I turned over so I flicked it off, she thinks she is so funny. I don’t know why I fall for it but I hate bugs.

Yesterday was the 4th and we had a devotional and then they let us watch fireworks it was alright. It wasn’t much of a show but it was fun hanging out with our zone after are curfew.  It was the first and last time we will ever go to bed at midnight and we broke a rule by getting up at 7 but I guess it is ok cuz its p day, love it so much I do have to teach my investigator tonight but still relaxing and can take a nap.  The temple is closed for a couple months so we didn’t go today but at least we went once last week.  i will write you when i get to Guatemala cuz i don’t know exactly was the address is so ill try to write a short letter hope everyone is good miss you lots.
